The Farm wins GOLD

In its 13th season in Norway, THE FARM shows no sign of stepping down – winning the TV Award Gullruten for Best Competition Reality last week.

The long running format still dominates the charts and create a huge buzz every time it airs on TV2. In this particular season, the participants were celebrities all competing against each other in trying to find out who was the most fitted to survive on a farm as it was 100 years ago.

The series premiered January 2nd on the Norwegian broadcaster with 876.000 viewers and the second best premiere on the channel ever. And when the last episode aired, 1,3 million watched – giving the episode a 71,6% share in the 20-49 target group.

The Gullruten TV Award was handed out in Bergen May 12th, and THE CELEBRITY FARMs toughest competition was THE FARM with regular participants.

THE FARM has been on air continuously since 2001 all over the world with over 100 licenses in over 50 territories. In Scandinavia Strix Norway are currently in production with the second season of THE CELEBRITY FARM and the 13th regular season. In Sweden, Strix are in production with the 11th season for TV4, and in Denmark the second season of the popular show with the title HJEM TIL GAARDEN on TV2 is confirmed for production this summer.
