Double Gold for Amerikalinjen’s Bar Pier 42 at Bartenders’ Choice Awards 2022

The 12th edition of the Bartenders’ Choice Awards was nothing short of a success for bar Pier 42 at Hotel Amerikalinjen in Oslo. On April 24th, the annual competition held its 13 competitive categories where Pier 42 won the two most prestigious awards: Best Cocktail Bar Norway and Adrian Michalcik as Best Bartender Norway.

– From day one, Amerikalinjen has set a high-quality standard for all its food and beverage venues. This year’s wins are just two more great reasons for guests and locals in Oslo to visit and stay at our hotel. Not only does Pier 42 manage to win the category Best Cocktail Bar, but to also take home the category Best Bartender with Adrian Michalcik at the helm is amazing. Pier 42’s cocktail menu is based on a spectrum of conceptualized cocktails, inspired by important historical events in Norway and America between 1919 and 2019. Among these are, just to mention a few, signature pieces such as the ”Emigration Cocktail”. This cocktail is made out of rooibos tea, citrus, and lemongrass, and is served in a globe. You can also find ”First Man on the Moon” in the bar, made with Bombay Sapphire, lavender, and gin.
