OFFECCT’s Design Manager Anders Englund takes on new challenges
From May 6, 2019, Anders Englund will continue to work with OFFECCT’s strategic design work, now within the framework of the Flokk Design Council.
Anders Englund founded the Offecct design company in 1990 together with Kurt Tingdal. Since then, Offecct has grown into one of Sweden’s largest manufacturers of furniture for public spaces, with a passion for developing design that brings people together. Offecct has enjoyed more than its share of international success stories and is a global brand today. In May 2017, Offecct became part of Flokk, an international Norway-based corporation with a focus on office design and décor.
With a strong focus on strengthening Offecct on the global market, Anders Englund has taken on a new role with the strategic design work in the Flokk Design Council.
“After 29 years working to build up and expand Offecct, my new role, among other things, encompasses working with strategic issues related to the further development of products in Flokk’s Soft-Seating category,” says Anders Englund.
Flokk Design Council is a strategy and development group that manages all the different brands that make up Flokk’s offering. The council’s main focus is on the development of complementary products and securing the identity and future of the respective brands. The council is headed by Christian Lodgaard, Senior Vice President for Products & Brands.
“My mission is to maintain a firm focus on Offecct’s future, but in a new forum and together with the combined expertise of the Flokk Design Council,” concludes Englund.
Offecct’s external AD, Eero Koivisto, who has worked with Offecct for many years, both strategically and as a designer, will also continue to work with the brand’s design development.
