Roof Completed on Panattoni’s First Logistics Facility in Gothenburg

Panattoni, one of Europe’s largest developers of modern logistics properties, celebrated the completion of the roof on its first logistics facility in Gothenburg yesterday. The 14,300 sqm property, located in Landvetter, marked the milestone with a topping-out ceremony attended by MVB Väst, the project contractor, the new tenant Gandalf, and several representatives from Härryda Municipality, including Chairman of the Municipal Council, Per Vorberg.

Panattoni has been active in the Swedish market for three years, achieving several land acquisitions and property completions in locations such as Enköping, Strängnäs, Rosersberg and Åstorp. In 2023, the company acquired the Landvetter property, perfectly situated near Highway 40 and close to both the airport and Gothenburg Port. Yesterday’s event celebrated the roof's completion as the project nears its next phase.

"Panattoni’s primary focus for the Swedish market is to create a wide range of industrial and logistics properties in attractive locations within the golden triangle of Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö. We are so proud to soon have our first logistics facility in Gothenburg ready for occupancy," said Fredrik Jagersjö Rosell, Managing Director at Panattoni Sweden.

Approximately 80 people attended the celebration to mark the project's success. Andreas Gibrand, Head of Construction at Panattoni and the project lead, highlighted the sustainability features of the building:

"The Landvetter project is a great example of how we work sustainably to create BREEAM-certified buildings. Some of the building's sustainable features include a roof prepared for solar panel installation, electric vehicle charging stations, and heating via high-efficiency heat pumps that reduce costs and carbon footprint. Additionally, we used recycled construction materials, such as old concrete from the demolished facility, during groundwork and earthworks," said Andreas Gibrand.

Helena Alterby Nordström, Härryda Municipality's Business Development Manager, also attended the celebration:

"It’s fantastic to follow the progress of this project and see the opportunities it creates for companies to grow in these modern facilities. Härryda is an attractive municipality for business, and we work daily to create opportunities for more companies to thrive here," she said.

Chairman of the Municipal Council, Per Vorberg, delivered a speech welcoming further investments in Härryda Municipality:

"We are delighted to welcome another establishment to our growing municipality and look forward to the positive impacts this will bring in collaboration with the new tenants," said Per Vorberg.

Panattoni Park Landvetter is a 14,300 sqm logistics facility set to be ready for occupancy in spring 2025. As previously announced, the tenant is IT and technology distribution company Gandalf.
