PropTech Sweden and Skanska are launching the PropTech Championship, the first business championship of its kind
Skanska Commercial Development Nordic and PropTech Sweden are coming together to launch a PropTech Championship where the winner will be awarded an innovation contract with Skanska.
The real estate and construction industry are facing rapid change in needs from the market as well as more ambitious company and industry goals. Increased digitalization and new innovative solutions are needed to stay relevant in meeting the stricter climate targets and client demands. Skanska and PropTech Sweden believes that there are great solutions provided within the PropTech community, however a new platform is needed in order to let the most relevant solutions come through the noise.
- We believe that in order to deliver on our promise to the market and society we need to accelerate within digitalization and innovation. Within the PropTech community there are agile and fast-growing companies with whom I do believe we can make impact and drive development within our focus areas carbon neutrality, smart & connected buildings, and the future office", says Henrik Ahnström, Director of Innovation at Skanska Commercial Development Nordic.
The championship is launched on December 9th with the application open until the first week of January. The PropTech companies will be pitching digitally to a jury consisting of Skanska alongside experts from the real estate and PropTech industries. The pitching is structured as a playoff with quarter and semifinals. During the final, held the first week of February 2022, the contestants will get a one hour one-on-one time to wow the jury and receive a potentially life changing contract.
