Proton Technology continues to invest for the European automotive industry

Proton Technology in Bankeryd continues to invest for the future. The latest addition is a cyclic salt spray cabinet that provides different types of corrosion tests to meet the demands of the European automotive industry.

"We are already one of Europe's largest privately-owned and independent corrosion laboratories, and we export the main part of our services. We are now aiming to become even stronger at the European market. We can provide over 50 test methods, but we need to strengthen our offering of different types of cyclic humidity tests, required by many European automotive manufacturers. We need more capacity and more flexibility", says Stefan Gustafsson Ledell, CEO Proton Technology.

Joakim Ekström, Technical Sales Manager at Proton Technology, continues:
"With the new cyclic salt spray cabinet, we will be able to quality-assure processes and products towards companies like Volkswagen, Skoda, BMW, Mercedes Benz and KIA. We have therefore more than doubled our capacity in this segment to become a wider supplier of corrosion tests. At the same time, we are keeping our short lead times as we already have for example with ACT and nVDA testing."

"I have been in this company since the beginning, and I am very proud to be a part of building one of the world's most modern corrosion labs", says Johan Wristel, Laboratory Manager at Proton Technology. "This gives us the opportunity to offer high quality tests with the shortest lead times in the market."

Since the new laboratory was built in 2016, Proton Technology has had an aggressive investment plan, with the goal of being a complete supplier at cyclic corrosion testing towards, for example, the light and heavy automotive industry.
