6 iconic Porsches at auction
Racing driver Mats Myrsell has done his last lap. For his 6 legendary Porsches awaits a new life.
But the racing career for Mats was less glamorous in the beginning. Volvo, Opel and Saab were among the cars he steered, cars with just a fraction of the power of his Porsches.
"1978 I became the official driver for VAZ during 4 months. I thought now it´s happening..."
But as grand it had started, as abruptly it ended
"Around 1980 I was out of money and wanting to buy a house I was rejected all loans. I had to leave the racing track and it took me 15 years to get back. 1994-1995 I ran a few races and then in 2006 I suddenly got my breakthrough" he says and laughs.
Mats Myrsell competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup 2006-2009.
From 2010, it is all about historic rallies where Mats has been fabulously successful. The victories and the top positions are almost too many to mention, but the crown of his career is the title as European Champion together with Esko Junttilla.
However all fairy tales have to come to an end and Mats has decided to end his long career and now his cars are available on auction.
