The success of spectacular pop-up hotel room continues!

After last summer's huge success of Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel’s pop-up collaboration with Milajki Style FactOH!ry, a new themed room has just been completed. Next up to transform hotel room 255 at Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel is Berengaria. Berengaria is an escape room, and confidently holds the position as the escape room in Sweden you don't want to miss. Eager players travel from all over Europe to experience their well-made 1920s setting which also features an actor in the room.

-We are so incredibly happy to be collaborating with Berengaria, says Jessica Rivle, who is the general manager of the hotel. "Berengaria is an amazing experience and their escape room is in itself worth a trip. The fact that they have come to Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel and completely transformed a room is so exciting!"

An escape room is a form of entertainment where you yourself are a participant in the event. Players hear a back story and are then locked in a room full of clues and puzzles. It is important to solve the mystery within the allotted time, usually an hour, and through doing so get out of -or escape- the room. It has been said that the idea emerged as a reaction against the ever increasing screen-based entertainment options. Whether that’s the case or not, what is evident is that the phenomenon is growing throughout the world. Sweden is no exception and Gothenburg has become the city with the most escape room games in the whole country. At the moment there are around ten different ones in the city, each with unique stories and riddles. Berengaria stands out among the rest because of its immense attention to detail, captivating storytelling and effective and beautiful interior design. Camilla Sjöling at Berengaria says that there was not a moment’s hesitation to the idea of a collaboration with Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel.

-The game itself will start in the themed hotel room, which has been especially adapted, but will then take the players on a journey around the entire hotel.

Camilla continues "for us it was like a dream come true to develop a gaming experience in one of Gothenburg's finest hotels. This is a once in a life time opportunity, and we expect it will be sold out."

The series of specially created completely unique pop-up hotel rooms are created in collaboration with the communications agency Revolve Concept.

We have seen other hotels create their own pop-up rooms of varying quality. The pop-up room opens on February 1, 2022 and is active for three months.

About Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel Göteborg

Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel is located at Drottningtorget in Gothenburg and opened in 1986. The hotel has 355 hotel rooms, of which 38 are suites.
