Agent GirlPower: Arab world’s first ethical fashion brand for feminists launching March 8, International Day of the Woman!

Agent GirlPower is an ethical fashion brand in Arabic & English for feminists everywhere. With the goal of gender equality in the Arab world and everywhere, Agent GirlPower helps feminists show the world who they really are, via their apparel. The brand is launching on March 8, International Day of the Woman, in solidarity with women everywhere.

The first Agent GirlPower collection is made up of 10 ethically-made items of clothing and jewelry. Agent GirlPower apparel features feminist messaging in Arabic + English, with the belief that feminists are stronger united no matter the language or nationality. Jewelry can be flipped to either Arabic or English, and the beanie comes with a movable patch that can be adjusted to the language of choice.

Egyptian born American, Maryam Montague, is the Founder & Creative Director of the brand.
She explains,

“Agent GirlPower is a transformational fashion brand that aims to provoke frank conversations about feminism. Feminism is not about hating men or wanting to be better than men. It’s simply a belief in equality between men and women. We all rise together.”

Moroccan-born actress Ouidad Elma, who stars in the BBC drama, “The Last Post,” acts as Agent GirlPower Brand Ambassador. She explains her affiliation with the brand,

“Agent GirlPower represents who I am. Strong. Unafraid. And ready for change. As an Arab woman, I want to share my feminist values and work towards a more just world. The tired stereotypes of Arab women as subjugated and submissive are insulting and have got to go.”
