Data-driven insights are key to strengthening Sweden’s life science sector
The Life Science Barometer, initiated by SwedenBio, provides an important snapshot of the current state of the Swedish life science sector. Based on extensive data and industry input, the Barometer supports decision-making across industry, investment, and policy.
– To strengthen Sweden’s life science sector, we need data-driven insights that reflect the full business pipeline, from early-stage startups to global companies. Contributing to the Life Science Barometer is one way we help ensure that the West Swedish ecosystem is represented in national decision-making, says Cecilia Edebo, CEO Sahlgrenska Science Park.
Sahlgrenska Science Park has contributed to the Barometer as part of a national collaboration between ecosystem actors. The role has been to bring perspectives from startups, scaleups and large industry in the West Swedish life science ecosystem into the data and analysis, helping ensure that the Barometer reflects the full breadth of the sector.
– A strong and competitive life science industry depends on insights that span the entire value chain. By contributing ecosystem knowledge and access to companies in different development phases, says Cecilia Edebo.
Sahlgrenska Science Park supports the Barometer’s ambition to serve as a relevant and actionable tool for companies, investors, and policymakers. The Life Science Barometer is a clear example of how collaboration across regions and organizations strengthens the understanding of both challenges and opportunities in Swedish life science.
