Mabel AI won the HealthTech Award 2023
Mabel AI received the Healthtech Award 2023 at the opening of Vitalis, the largest ehealth event in Scandinavia. The award, a cooperation between GREAT, Vitalis and Sahlgrenska Science Park celebrates healthtech innovations that make a difference for people’s lives.
The award is exclusive for innovative companies based in the Nordics providing a healthtech solution or product that has a positive impact on healthcare, prevention, prediction, health and/or quality of life. Mabel AI was awarded for their innovation providing critical language support when every second counts.
" It feels great. We are still in shock given the other amazing finalists,” said Shahid Jabbar, CTO and co-founder of Mabel AI.
“With a great team, and a fantastic support from Sahlgrenska Science Park, we have managed to create a full privacy preserving deep tech solution to the translation problem.”

Healthcare is a matter of mastering information and acting on it.
Bridging frequent language gaps correctly between the patient and the healthcare professional while safeguarding integrity is key to ensure proper and equal care.
The winner offers speech recognition and real-time translation of medical interaction in an AI in-device, minimizing the risk of misinformation and allowing connection to patients’ medical records with just one click. Even off-line, during war and catastrophes.
HealthTech Award 2023 goes to an innovation that provides critical language support when every second counts.
