Sahlgrenska Science Park welcomes Siddhartha Khandelwal as new Deal Flow and Growth Manager in the CO-AX accelerator

CO-AX, the healthtech accelerator at Sahlgrenska Science Park, is excited to announce the appointment of Siddhartha Khandelwal, PhD, as its new Deal Flow and Growth Manager. With his robust academic credentials and proven prowess in innovation management, Siddhartha brings a wealth of relevant knowledge and experience. His role at CO-AX will be pivotal in attracting an increased influx of high-impact entrepreneurs and early-stage companies focused on global health challenges.

"Sid's arrival reinforces our focus on deep-tech and AI technology and our commitment to healthtech innovation and growth," says Annica Grimberg Lignell, Director Business & Innovation and Head of CO-AX at Sahlgrenska Science Park. "His deep-tech skill set, expertise in deal flow management and first-hand experience of the needs of startups and established companies is just what CO-AX needs to leverage our continued relevance for deep-tech startups and entrepreneurs, as well as to help propel our existing companies to new heights."

Siddhartha Khandelwal comes to Sahlgrenska Science Park with an impressive track record in healthtech, where he has demonstrated the ability to bridge the gap between complex scientific research and market-ready solutions. As the founder of Walkbeat in 2018, he pioneered the use of advanced deep-tech for gait analysis, steering the company from breakthrough innovation to commercialization in both human and animal sectors. His leadership led to Walkbeat winning numerous accolades, including the prestigious Huawei Startup Award at SLUSH, Finland in 2021. Moreover, the company was featured on the IVA 100 List in 2019, an annual compilation by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences highlighting the most promising innovations emanating from Swedish higher education institutions.

Commenting on his new role, Siddhartha Khandelwal said, "I am honoured and excited to join Sahlgrenska Science Park and the CO-AX accelerator. It's a privilege to be part of a team that not only contributes immensely to our ecosystem but also plays a crucial role in accelerating companies towards achieving their growth ambitions. The prospect that our collective efforts could ignite and catalyze innovations that address worldwide health challenges is truly exhilarating!"

Siddhartha’s appointment is a key part of Sahlgrenska Science Park's strategy to enhance CO-AX’s position as a leading healthtech hub in Europe.
