Sail Racing appoints new board member
In August 2020, Pär Svärdson was elected new board member of Sail Racing International AB.
Pär Svärdson is the founder and CEO of Apotea, he is an award-winning entrepreneur and has been a pioneer in e-commerce both in Sweden and internationally. Pär is also a Swedish Championship gold medalist in Farr 30 and Fareast 28R.
"This is incredibly exciting and energizing, the broad experience and cutting-edge knowledge that Pär possesses is something that our organization really look forward to assimilate," says Joakim Berne, CEO of Sail Racing. "He has succeeded extremely well in his segments and we look forward to share his ideas and lessons learned," he continues.
As a competitive sailor and great sailing enthusiast Pär already has a relation to the brand and its product range.
“I have always liked and used Sail Racing's clothes, it’s literally a part of my office costume. So for me it's very exciting to now be a part of the brand. I'm looking forward to join Sail Racing on their journey forward,” says Pär Svärdson.
The first board meeting took place in September 2020 and his participation was very well received by the sitting board members.
