Sail Racing - Official Clothing Partner to Denmark SailGP Team

Sail Racing has been appointed the official clothing partner for Denmark SailGP Team and will provide the team with technical on and off the water gear. Sail Racing has also designed and developed the official merchandise collection for the team that will be available onsite at the events, at sailracing.com, and at SailGP's online store.

Denmark SailGP Team is presented by ROCKWOOL and is one of the newest teams for SailGP Season 2. Helm Nicolai Sehested is a multi-time round the world ocean racer and there are also Olympic and World Championship winners on the team.

Recognising the need to better the sport and make it more inclusive, SailGP has introduced a new initiative, which is designed to create a professional pathway for female athletes to compete at the pinnacle of the sport.

As part of this process, Denmark SailGP Team has recently held a female athlete selection camp in France, featuring six of Denmark’s top female athletes. The next phase of that initiative will see two selected female athletes immersed within the team for the first event of Season 2, in Bermuda.

“We think this is a great initiative from SailGP, we would love to see more women in high-speed sailing, and in sailing in general. This will for sure step up the game even further.” says Joakim Berne, CEO at Sail Racing International AB.

The full Denmark SailGP Team roster will be unveiled on Tuesday 23 March, one month before the Bermuda Sail Grand Prix presented by the Hamilton Princess, which takes place on 24-25 April 2021. There will be 8 nations competing during SailGP Season 2 at iconic venues around the world, including the first ever Scandinavian event – the ROCKWOOL Denmark Sail Grand Prix in Aarhus, on 20-21 August 2021.
