Sail Racing - Official Technical Clothing Partner to New Zealand SailGP Team

SAIL RACING APPOINTED OFFICIAL TECHNICAL CLOTHING PARTNER OF THE NEW ZEALAND SAILGP TEAM

April 16, 2021 - Sail Racing has been appointed the official technical clothing partner of the New Zealand SailGP Team and will provide the team with technical gear on and off the water.

Sail Racing has also designed the official merchandise collection for the team that will be available onsite at events, at sailracing.com, and at SailGP's online store.

The New Zealand SailGP Team joins SailGP for its inaugural season which kicks off in just eight days in Bermuda, and the team brings an impressive range of skill and experience including six defending America’s Cup champions and five Olympic sailors.

New Zealand SailGP Team co-CEO Peter Burling said: “We are really excited to be joining SailGP for Season 2 and to have Sail Racing as our clothing partner. We have had a great relationship for several years now and we know they are up for the challenge. We are looking forward to arriving in Bermuda and competing against some of the most talented sailors in the world.”

As part of its commitment to the environment, the New Zealand SailGP Team will race with purpose this season, working with its Race for the Future charity partner Live Ocean, the marine conservation organisation founded by Peter Burling and Blair Tuke.

Tuke said: “The New Zealand SailGP Team is passionate about the ocean and the global platform of SailGP is a powerful way to take the important message of ocean restoration and protection to the world.

Sail Racing and the New Zealand SailGP Team share Live Ocean's passion for a healthy ocean and have chosen to donate part of the sales of the official New Zealand SailGP Team merchandise collection to Live Ocean.

The Bermuda Sail Grand Prix presented by Hamilton Princess will be the first event for the team, which takes place on 24-25 April 2021. There will be eight nations competing during SailGP Season 2 at iconic venues around the world.
