SAS introduces greater fare flexibility and choice

SAS Scandinavian Airlines has improved its fare structure for both business and leisure travelers, creating more flexibility and choice, and much fewer rules and restrictions for customers on its intercontinental flights. "SAS wants to offer the most flexible choices in order to suit and appeal to all our customers," says Lars Sandahl Sørensen, Chief Commercial Officer, SAS International. "We have noticed a strong need for more choice amongst travelers and our new SAS fares have been created to simply offer passengers much greater choice. Now they can tailor make their own trips, mixing both fares and classes to fully suit their own needs. Our new fares are aimed at both business and leisure travelers, separately." The new fare structure is spread across its three classes - Business, Economy Extra and Economy - and divided into three ticket types: Fully Flexible, Flexible and Fixed. SAS therefore offers passengers the greatest choice of class and fare possibilities. "The new fixed fares allow customers to purchase Business or Economy Extra class at a competitive price, if they book well in advance. They can also mix classes to suit their budgets and schedules. Business travelers, for instance, can fly one way on a Fixed Business fare and return on a Fully Flexible Business fare, or fly Economy Extra one way and Business the other," says Sandahl Sørensen. All new fares are now available to book, except Fixed Economy Extra, which will be introduced later this year.
