Palindrome Interactive releases Overgrown for Android and iOS

Palindrome Interactive knows that the holiday season is no obstacle for a new game release. Their puzzle game Overgrown is now available for Android, but it doesn’t stop there. Next week the game will be released for iOS.

Palindrome Interactive began working on Overgrown when the company King contacted GSP Incubator, because they sought new game ideas. Palindrome pitched their idea for King, who liked it and wanted to follow through with it. Overgrown is inspired by two games - chess and the mobile game Sporos, and the player will try to spread various plant roots in a garden, where the roots move in the same patterns as classic chess pieces.

- The game is simple and easy to assimilate. We are very satisfied with how the game was designed and now we hope for a good response, says Johan Ahlgren, Project Manager.

 Team spirit

Palindrome Interactive consists of Johan Ahlgren, Project Manager, Rasmus Björk, Programmer, Lotta Sörensen och Emil Falk, Graphic Artists, and Atle Fägersten, Animator. The team has worked together with Overgrown since April 2015. In less than three months, while they were working on both thesis and their other game Aversion: Sunrise, they have produced a finished puzzle game with 300 courses, a figure that will eventually be 1200 when the game is completely finished. Despite a lot to do the team says that the work ethic has been on top throughout the project.

- We work very well together and have a great cooperation, then we have a lot of fun too, says Johan Ahlgren.

- It has worked out very well because we have been sitting together at the office instead of being home alone working in different places, explains Rasmus Björk.

Atle Fägersten agrees.

- You can tell that everyone want the company to succeed and be successful. We have all spent a lot of time and effort without complaining, even though it has been a lot going on at the same time.
