Sweden Game Arena made many new contacts at the world's largest gaming fair

During a few hectic and intense days, Sweden Game Arena has exhibited in the business section of the GamesCom fair in German Cologne. Every year, the fair brings together hundreds of thousands of game developers and gamers from around the world.

Twentytwo of the fifty gaming companies included in the Sweden Game Arena project participated at GamesCom this year. Some had experience from before and some exhibited for the first time in the 160 square meter booth for which Sweden Game Arena was responsible.

- Even before we went to Cologne, we had over 40 booked meetings with international media, in addition to the business meetings our 22 exhibitors had booked. We got very nice response to our booth and our content. There is a great deal of interest in games and game development in Europe. Sweden, with the hub in Science Park Skövde and Sweden Game Arena, stands out as one of the leading nations, says Magnus Ling, project manager, Sweden Game Arena.

Representatives from Sweden Game Arena attended the fair for several reasons.

- First and foremost, we want to find new customers and start new collaborations, and secondly, it is about marketing our member companies and Sweden Game Conference with the Festival, which we arrange in October 16th-19th. It is also exciting to take note of trends so that we and our member companies can remain at the forefront, says Magnus Ling.

The Swedish stand stood out. Instead of the slightly cold, hard expression, Sweden Game Arena offered a booth expression of Swedish nature, with walls, tables, benches and small wooden cabins. During the three days business fair, more than 50 different media, and over 1 000 interested business people visited the booth.

- We are very pleased with our participation. Now we will sum up this year's fair and try to top it next year. The fact that we take the Swedish flag internationally and appear under the name Sweden Game Arena gives extra weight to our regional gaming industry and to the individual companies, concludes Magnus Ling.
