You will hear from the Dutch company SkyNRG, their work to source, produce, blend, and distribute Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and their efforts seeking ASTM approval of an isobutene derived SAF produced by the REWOFUEL consortium. SkyNRG is together with Sekab part of the EU project REWOFUEL, that you will also learn more about.

The aviation industry faces a major challenge transitioning into a sustainable mode of transportation. For this to happen, the production of large amounts of sustainable aviation fuel must start to take place. Within REWOFUEL, a new value chain is demonstrated and evaluated where residues from the forest industry can be converted into second-generation aviation fuel via an isobutene intermediate.
