Derek Webster arbetar med Sjöbo kommun

Genom Datacenterprojektet,  Invest Sweden, har Sjöbo kommun fått  möjlighet att under en heldag träffa Derek Webster, f.d.-Yahoo anställd, för att  få hjälp med paketering och försäljning av tomterna på Åsums Industripark.

– Åsums Industri park är en lämplig plats för ett datacenter. Derek Webster, ska ge sin syn på hur vi utifrån ett kundperspektiv kan  vässa vårt erbjudande om industriparken, säger Lena Ytterberg, näringslivsutvecklare.

Media är välkomna att vara med på Åsums industripark kl 9.00 onsdagen den 28 november,  för att ställa frågor till Derek Webster samt träffa Sjöbo kommuns representanter: Stefan Lundgren, Roger Larsson, Monica Strömbeck, Lars Persson, Joel Tufvesson och Lena Ytterberg.

Om Derek Webster

Up to August of 2012 Derek Webster was responsible for Yahoo!’s Data Centre Development in EMEA and has been working with the Sunnyvale team since 2007. Providing strategic road mapping for new Data Centre builds, facility conversions to Data Center search & select for ‘right-fit’ site investments within EMEA locations that meet business needs, sustainable criteria and OPEX advantages. He has served over 20 years in the sector and has a broad perspective; and has performed roles as Client representative, Main Contractor, Design (hi-level), Consultant / Advisor and as business developer for both start-ups and established enterprises. His experience also ranges from Investment Strategy and Country Identification, formulating client ‘build’ needs, construction direction, cost & project planning, procurement strategy, Data Centre delivery in construction/developments. Other roles have included due diligence for funders and investors to risk assess design, marketability, budget and project team suitability and as project monitor for investment funds.
