Integrated Motor with IP Protection

The PD2-C Plug & Drive series from Nanotec has now been expanded to include versions in protection class IP65.

As with all Plug & Drive motors, the controllers and encoders are already integrated; the performance characteristics of the IP versions are identical as well. The PD2-C-IP with flange size 42 mm (Nema 17) is available as a brushless DC motor or in a high-pole version as stepper motor. The field-oriented control of the motors makes precise torque, speed and position control possible up to a rated power of 105 watts.

Both motor types are available with USB or CANopen interface. With the USB version, the motor can be configured and programmed via USB. During operation, the USB port is covered with a watertight cap and the motor runs on the basis of the digital and analog input signals in combination with the stored program. In the CANopen version, the motor can be controlled via fieldbus profile CiA 402.
