How hetero is your music on Spotify?
Stockholm Pride is now launching the next step of the "How Hetero"-campaign. This is done in collaboration with Spotify, where you can now test how hetero your playlist is.
- After the success of the twitter test "How Hetero" during the summer, we see this as the next step in our efforts to highlight both our campaign around the hetero norm, as well as of Stockholm Pride, worldwide. We hope to arrange World Pride 2014 and see "How Hetero" as a fun and interactive way to put Stockholm Pride on the world map, says Claes Nyberg, President of Stockholm Pride.
It was in July this summer, that Stockholm Pride launched the cybertest "How Hetero". The test generated half a million visitors, and over 200 000 user names on Twitter took part in the test. "How Hetero" became the world's most re-tweeted link during two days in the same week that we saw the death of Michael Jackson and the world premiere of the new Harry Potter film. In international media, the success was underlined when the campaign was covered by MTV Brazil. Furthermore, some of the biggest technology and social media sites - Mashable.com and Creativity.com - regarded the campaign as the highlight of the week, while it was also covered by Entertainment Weekly.
- Taking the "How Hetero"-campaign to Spotify is a natural step. It is an open medium and there are clear pre-conceptions around music, personal identity and sexual preference, says Martin Cedergren, Creative Director at Åkestam Holst, and creator of the campaign.
