Hon tävlar för Sverige i Cirkusprinsessan 2009

Shannon Savage, tidigare student vid Danshögskolan och nu bosatt i Sverige, tävlar om titeln Cirkusprinsessan 2009.

-My number is a demonstration of femininity as strength, as power, as delicacy, as seduction and as freedom. It is acelebration of the beauty of women. Put simply, it is a display of the joy of being a woman, säger Shannon Savage.

Cirkusprinsessan har föreställningar 25-28 oktober i Stockholm. Vinnaren utses vid sista föreställningens Grand Finale där livepubliken röstar, dessa vägs samman med webbröster och en internationell jurys bedömning.

- I am honored to have been selected to participate in the Cirkusprinsessan. As an international circus festival, I am excited for the exposure and also just for the experience. I am proud to have been asked to represent Sweden in the festival, sager Shannon.

Shannon kommer från USA, San Francisco. Hon har studerat cirkus vid Danshögskolan, L'Ecole Nationale de Cirque i Montreal och San Francisco School of Circus Arts och har kinesisk påle som huvuddisciplin.

- I am so happy to have been able to be a part of the Circus Programme at Danshögskolan as well as to be a part of the growing circus community here in Stockholm. There is such a supportive, creative and increasingly high technical level community of artists here and I am excited and proud to be a part of it.
