Press Invitation: Welcome to cover the Stockholm Film Festival 2021's Opening Ceremony
The Stockholm International Film Festival 2021 proudly presents the Nordic premiere of Pedro Almodóvars Parallel Mothers on the festival's gala opening, Tuesday, November 9 at the Skandia Theatre in Stockholm.
DAY: Tuesday November 9
TIME: Entry starts 04:45 pm, Red Carpet interviews and photos between 05:00-06:00 pm.
PLACE: The Skandia Theatre, Drottninggatan 82, Stockholm
Festival Head Git Scheynius will open the Festival together with the Swedish Minister of Culture Amanda Lind at 05:45 pm.

The Stockholm International Film Festival is back and this year it presents 100 films from 48 countries in both cinemas and digitally on Festival on Demand. This year‘s Spotlight is Motherhood – a tribute to women whose position in the world is threatened. Films to discover on this theme are Spencer by Pablo Larraín with Kristen Stewart as princess Diana and Jane by Charlotte by Charlotte Gainsbourg about her mother Jane Birkin. Other films that will be presented during the festival is the colorful The Hill Where Lionesses Roar by debutant Luàna Bajrami, Sabaya by Swedish Hogir Hirori, and Clara Sola by the Swedish-Costa Rican director Nathalie Álvarez Mesén, which is selected to be this year's Costa Rican Academy Award entry.
