Pressmeddelande -
Stockholm International Film Festival partners with Plan International Sweden to support children's rights
Stockholm International Film Festival is proud to announce that the children's rights organization Plan International Sweden will be the official charity partner of the festival, held November 5–16, 2025. The year-round partnership includes various activities where Plan International will have the opportunity to highlight its vital work for children's rights and reach a broad festival audience.
– We are incredibly proud to collaborate with Plan International Sweden, an organization dedicated to creating a better future for children worldwide. Through this partnership, we aim to highlight the power of film in raising awareness and engagement for children's rights, says Magnus Larsson, Head of Marketing at Stockholm International Film Festival.
As part of the collaboration, Stockholm International Film Festival will screen Plan International’s promotional film before all screenings at the festival’s four annual events, including Stockholm International Film Festival Junior, Drive-In, Sommarbio in Rålambshovsparken, and the 12-day main festival in November. Plan International will also be featured in the festival’s three magazines and through brand activations on various festival platforms.
– We are very excited about this partnership, which gives us a unique opportunity to spread awareness about children's rights to an engaged festival audience. Through the power of film, we can inspire more people to take action and help create a safer world for children, says Mariann Eriksson, Secretary-General of Plan International Sweden.
Additionally, Stockholm International Film Festival and Plan International are launching a fundraising campaign, with all proceeds supporting Plan’s efforts to ensure more children can attend school, have enough to eat, be protected from violence, and grow up in safety. Throughout the year, festival visitors will be encouraged to contribute 10, 20, or 30 SEK when purchasing movie tickets or membership cards.
Stockholm International Film Festival looks forward to working with Plan International Sweden to engage and inspire festival audiences to contribute to a better world for all children.
