The Wheel of Time to have its Nordic premiere at the Stockholm International Film Festival 2021
The Stockholm International Film Festival proudly presents an exclusive preview of the first two episodes of Amazon Prime Video’s brand new fantasy series The Wheel of Time. TV & Film enthusiasts will be able to experience the Amazon Original Series season premiere on the big screen, two days before its release on Prime Video, at the Park Theatre on Wednesday, November 17 at 6:00 pm.
The Wheel of Time is one of the most popular and enduring fantasy series of all time, with more than 90 million books sold. Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.
Host, comedian and The Wheel of Time enthusiast Kodjo Akolor will present the series on stage and afterward, fans can enjoy an exclusive pre-recorded interview with some of the cast.
Prime Video is Stockholm Film Festival’s Official Streaming Partner 2021.
