Welcome to cover and meet winning guests. Here is the jury of the Stockholm International Film Festival 2022

Award winning Nathalie Álvarez Mesén, director of the critically acclaimed film Clara Sola (2021) which won five Guldbaggar earlier this year is one of this year's jury members for the 33rd edition of the Stockholm International Film Festival. In the Jury, we find actor Alexej Manvelov, film producer Erika Wasserman, film director and author Stig Björkman, the documentary film makers Hogir Hirori and Isabel Andersson. Together they will choose who will win Best Film and the world's heaviest film prize - the Bronze Horse. Stockholm Film Festival Price Ceremony 2022 will take place 18th November, 15.00 - 17.00 at Bibliotek Live, Medborgarplatsen, Stockholm

The jury is responsible for awarding the prestigious Bronze Horse for Best Film and Best Documentary, as well as the Aluminum Horse in the categories Best Director, Best Debutant, Best Screenplay, Best Female Lead, Best Male Lead and Best Cinematography.

Directors who have only directed one, two or three films participate in the Stockholm XXXIII Competition. Previous recipients of the award for Best Film include Quentin Tarantino, Lars von Trier, Céline Sciamma and Yorgos Lanthismos.

This year's Honorary Chairman of the Jury is Oleg Sentsov, who during last year's festival won the award for best film with »Rhino« (2021). Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began, Oleg has put down the camera and taken up arms to defend his country.

STOCKHOLM XXXIII COMPETITION

Alexej Manvelov - Actor, starred in TV-series such as Chernobyl (2019), Top Dog (2020) and Jack Ryan (2022).

Erika Wasserman - Producer, Director. Producer of the critically acclaimed film Border and recently had her director debut with the film "The Year i started Masturbating".

Nathalie Alvarez Mesén - Director, Scriptwriter. Director of the critically acclaimed film Clara Sola (2021).

DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION

Hogir Hirori - Director. Director of the documentary film Sabaya (2021).

Stig Björkman - Director, Author. Has been active in the film industry since 1960. Björkman has directed a number of portrait films about Lars von Trier, Ingmar Bergman, Ingrid Bergman and recently the film Joyce Carol Oates - A Body in the Service of Mind (2022).

Isabel Andersson - Director. Had her director debut with the documentary film LENA about the Swedish actress Lena Nyman.

OPEN ZONE (FIPRESCI)

Rita Di Santo - Film critic, Editor. Vice President of the International Federation of Film Critics.

Setareh Yousefi - Film critic.

Hsin Wang - Writer, Cultural critic.

SHORT FILM COMPETITION

Arazo Arif - Scriptwriter, Director. Director of the film Yasin: See Me Shine (2021)

Ardalan Esmaili - Actor. Starring in TV-series such as White Wall (2020), Snöänglar (2021), Snabba Cash (2022).

Sosi Chamoun - Director, Scriptwriter. Her short films has been critically acclaimed and won awards at Ann Arbor Film Festival and Cleveland International Film Festival.
