This year, the Stockholm International Film Festival honors American director and screenwriter Benny Safdie with the Stockholm Visionary Award. Safdie will attend the festival with his new film The Smashing Machine and will receive the award at a screening of the film at Bio Skandia.

I år är fem unga skådespelare nominerade till det hedrande priset. Vinnaren utses vid festivalens stora prisutdelning den 14 november, och belönas med en resa till Cannes Filmfestival samt en nydesignad statyett från Kosta Boda.

Oscar nominated actress Isabella Rossellini will visit Stockholm International Film Festival this fall for two special screenings combined with related conversations. Isabella Rossellini has previously had a professional as well as a private relationship with the departed festival favourite David Lynch, to whom this year's festival is dedicated.
