    The Stockholm International Film Festival 2023 presents the Stockholm Visionary Award to the french director Catherine Breillat. Catherine Breillat has been hailed by both critics and cinema-goers for her unwavering commitment to women and her fight against censorship laws. She is now being honored with the world's heaviest film award in the form of the 7.3 kg heavy Bronze Horse.

  • 397 minutes of silence for the dead children of Ukraine

    To raise awareness of the children’s situation in Ukraine, Stockholm International Film Festival made the 397-minute long film тиша (Silence), where each minute represents a child killed in the war. It has now been about eight months since the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and according to the UN report on October 10, 397 children have been killed and 647 children have been injured so far.
