STS Education strengthens their global marketing team in Gothenburg and hires Social Media Manager from Lagerhaus

“At this very moment, we at STS are in the middle of digital transformation and we are building a whole new marketing team that will lead us to new places both in cyberspace and IRL,” says Chief Digital Officer Jessica Nordlander. “We have decided to take a big step forward and build a world-class digital marketing team that can keep up with our target audience. We are extremely excited about the group of people that we have managed to recruit, but I especially want to point out Maria Lofjärd who joins us as our new Global Content and Engagement Manager.”

Lofjärd will take on the responsibility for client loyalty and engagement initiatives, as well as social media strategies and global content production. For the past four years she has been Head of Social Media and Photography at Swedish interior decoration company Lagerhaus, developing the way they communicate through image and copy. Through those efforts, she has grown their social media channels to over two hundred thousand followers and generated massive business impact. “I’m super excited to communicate with brave young travellers who are about to change their lives with knowledge and experience,” says Maria.

“The visual and emotional communication in fast moving channels is extremely important for us,” says Nordlander. “Most companies sell products or services – we offer our clients life-changing growth and development, and the only way we can really express how powerful that is, is by being good a telling those stories. We empower 8-19-year-olds to go out and do amazing stuff on their own: learn languages, experience different cultures and grow and develop to become citizens of the world. We were the first company in the world to offer these opportunities, and it is our strong belief that developing those skills is more relevant than ever.”

The additional team members that have joined the STS Education global HQ in Gothenburg are Daniel Valenzuela, Senior Copywriter (previously at ArrivalGuides) and Erik Hallin, Content Producer.
