Stylt designs 2014 Sleep Bar

The 2014 Sleep Bar, the hub and heart of the SleepEvent, Europe's largest and most important trade event for hospitality design, will be designed by Stylt Trampoli and presented in association with Sleeper Magazine.

The Sleep Bar is part of the Sleep Set, an annual competition where designers create hotel rooms according to a set brief. Every year, one designed is chosen to design the bar, and this year, Stylt Trampoli have got the tap - perhaps the fact that we won Best Bar in the European Hotel Design Awards, which are announced in conjunction with SleepEvent, last year, may have something to do with it.

We have immersed ourselves in the fascinating past of the building now known as the Business Design Centre, going back to the days when it was the Royal Agricultural Hall, hosting everything from dog shows, circus performers, bike races, and produce shows. And now we bring you a lush and refreshing trip into that story, in the form of the Royale Agricultural Bar - a meeting place, watering hole and refuge for all SleepEvent visitors.

In addition, Erik Nissen Johansen, Stylt's founder and creative director, will give an exclusive talk about the design process behind the bar, and Stylt's working methods generally, in the bar. See you there!
