Discover the new Swedish music at svenskmusik.org

Svensk Musik has launched its new website svenskmusik.org, an information site for music enthusiasts all over the world, who want to know everything about Swedish music.

The purpose of Svenskmusik.org is to inform and promote Swedish music, first and foremost to international music fans but also to a Swedish audience who wants unexpected subjects, comprehensive spoken.

The website features artist interviews with deep dives into genres and phenomena in the Swedish music history. On this site you will find new information on all Swedish music – regardless of genre – in an accessible and entertaining way.

- We are thrilled to finally launch svenskmusik.org. The site should be an obvious choice for all international and national music enthusiasts who want to immerse themselves in Swedish music from now and then. It will happen a lot of exciting things on the website in the future, which I hope will inspire many visitors, says Stina Westerberg, CEO of Svensk Musik.

At svenskmusik.org you will be able to read essays written by some of Sweden’s most recognized music journalists like Jan Gradvall, Kristin Lundell, Carl Reinholdtzon Belfrage and Nanushka Yeaman. Examples on subjects of the essays are the innovating jazz scene in Stockholm in the 60's, the Swedish indie music wonder and a spread on our young bright composers of the future. A few things you will find out in our essays are why everyone fell in love with Monica Zetterlund, how Robyn conquered the world and how good the singer in Dungen is on scratching.

Besides the essays you will be able to find music lists from people in the music, media and culture industry, calendarium, a unique trade register and etc.

Sweden has great artists to offer the world – Robyn, Lykke Li, Shout out Louds, Peter Bjorn & John etc. You will be able to read about them all and much more at svenskmusik.org.

Svensk Musik works with international information and promotion on behalf of the Swedish Arts Council and Stim. The company is fully owned by Swedish Performing Rights Society, Stim, which largely finances the organization. Svensk Musik’s mission is to bring Swedish music to a new, wider international audience. This is done primarily through information and PR, often in association with other organisations with similar interests. Svensk Musik also catalogues and archives copyrighted music and subsidises publishers and composers.
