Symsoft enables M2M and Enterprise Messaging business for Maingate

Symsoft, a trusted expert and supplier of charging and messaging solutions for mobile operators, today announced the delivery of a messaging platform to Maingate.

Founded in 1998, Maingate is the world's first service operator specializing in smart services that connect people, machines, and information. Maingate provides its customers with services based on carrier class platforms with a high degree of flexibility.

The new SMSC from Symsoft will provide a cost-efficient platform to increase messaging capacity for both the M2M and A2P businesses. The upgraded solution will enable Maingate to launch new SMS services faster and more efficiently than today. The new platform will also provide Maingate with virtualization features that allow several SMSCs to be consolidated on one physical platform.

–We have had a partnership with Symsoft since 2005 and initially chose the Symsoft SMSC as a platform for our M2M services, explains Robert Bellwaldius, COO at Maingate. Upgrading our platform to Symsoft’s next generation messaging solution that incorporates virtualization will allow us to consolidate several business areas onto one platform and to meet customer needs in a more flexible and efficient way, thus minimizing time-to-market for our customers.

The platform upgrade at Maingate is currently being executed and launch will take place in March 2012.
