Super Droger

With a new issue coming out every six weeks, T-post is the worlds first T-shirt Magazine. Every issue has a news story printed on the inside and a visual interpretation made by a select designer on the outside.

Issue # 39 "Super Drugs"
The pharmacology industry is about to change things up a little. Okay, a lot. Until recently, drug research has almost always been dedicated to discovering treatments for specific ailments or disorders, now there's a growing interest in enhancing the normal and healthy human condition instead.
According to a recent a report from the British Academy of Medical Sciences, the next few decades will see a boom in so-called cognition enhancers. These drugs affect the brain and improve things like attention, perception, learning, memory, language, planning and decision-making. In other words - they make you smarter.
But do we really need to get any smarter? Is the problem really us, or have we just created a world that we can't keep up with and now we're hoping that new drugs will compensate? Maybe humanity has hit a point where we have to modify ourselves chemically in order to keep up with our own progress. (More>> www.t-post.se)

"Design By"is design by Ragnar Persson
If you've been to Stockholm/Sweden lately, you might have seen the work of Swedish artist Ragnar Persson. With a recent gallery solo show and an in-store exhibition his drawings have been unusually accessible to the public. Normally his work is harder to catch. Since graduating with an MA in Fine art from Konstfack University in Sweden in 2007, his main output has been his self-published, limited edition A5 zines, distributed throughout select bookstores (check out his upcoming zine dropping in October).
For his work on this issue of T-post he drew inspiration from history and the fact that our perception of what's natural varies over time. "A hundred years ago people were burned at the stake for "witchcraft" and the occult - these things are now called science. The earth is round but it used to be flat."

About T-post
T-shirts inspire conversation, and when you add a story behindthem, you get people thinking. By combininga news magazine with a T-shirt we're able to utilize theattention and commitment accustom to the ‘fashion world' whilecommunicating interesting news topics. And by putting the written story on the inside of the shirt just for the subscriber to read, the subscriber is really the one communicating the story and getting it to spread outside the T-post circle. Since the article is not usually in-handy while wearing the T-shirt, it really becomes there interpretation of the story, which is even more interesting to hear about we think. It's all part of us trying to re-wire the structures ofnews communication in a strive to get people engage inimportant topics.

"What's fascinating about T-post is the interaction it creates. Nobody asks you about the article you just read in the bathroom. But if you're wearing an issue of T-post, people tend to ask what it's about. The next thing you know, you're talking about the ethical treatment of robots or some bank robbers in Brazil who got away with 45 million bucks. You're forming your own opinion, getting someone else to think about the topic, and it just keeps going from there. It all started out as an experiment. Today we're sending our issues to over 50 countries said Peter Lundgren Editor-in-Chief at T-Post.

A subscription to T-post costs 19 EUR per T-shirt, and can be delivered anywhere in the world. For more information please visit www.t-post.se or/and contact us at peter@t-post.se
