Steen & Strøm enhances shopping experience at Bruun’s Galleri by offering wireless services

20th April 2010 - Aarhus, Denmark – Bruun’s Galleri a leading Danish premium quality shopping mall own by Steen & Strøm Danmark A/S, has announced its intentions to offer all visitors free Wi-Fi access through its service partner, The Cloud - the leading European Wi-Fi provider.

The free Wi-Fi service will enable visitors to access the Internet for free using any type of Wi-Fi enabled device, during their visit to Bruun’s Galleri.

Commenting on the introduction of free Wi-Fi into Bruun’s Galleri, Anders Bojer Nielsen, Marketing Coordinator, said: “Given the increasing demand from our visitors to get connected wireless to Internet, we felt it was natural for us to take the next step and offer our high quality wireless service for free.” He continues; “The service provided by the Cloud also gives us a unique opportunity to access a new very exiting wireless communication channel.”

In connection to the launch of the free services, the area of coverage has been extended, both indoor and outdoor.

“Using the experience from our advanced outdoor and indoor network, we are able to offer a service mix that is unique in the market”, says Rasmus Erlandsen, Sales Director Retail at The Cloud Nordic. He continues; “Our partners do not only se the benefit from the public services, but sees also an opportunity to launch private applications, such as property monitoring devices improving the environment and the economy in the properties.”

Apart from the visitors, the tenants in the shopping malls will also benefit from the services, both as a communication channel, and as the infrastructure to support “Chip and PIN” and similar retail solutions.
