The Cloud and SkiStar extend partnership to offer mobile WiFi broadband in Trysil
Stockholm, 2009-09-24 - The Cloud, Europe's largest independent provider of mobile WiFi broadband has extended its partnership with SkiStar. Trysil has become the latest ski resort to offer its customers fast, secure, mobile WiFi broadband.
A ski resort like Trysil can have the same capacity demands as a minor city particularly during peak season. The agreement will enable SkiStar Trysil's customers to access The Cloud's mobile broadband network allowing them to enjoy rich online experiences on the move.
The rollout follows a similar successful project in Hemsedal which sees users connect to The Cloud through service providers such as Tele2, Telenor and iPass amongst others.
"Following the successful launch in Hemsedal, choosing The Cloud mobile broadband network for Trysil was easy," said, Helge Bonden CEO at SkiStar Trysil. "Customers in Trysil can now expect to connect their laptop or mobile device to a high capacity indoor and outdoor Internet network simply and securely." The agreement is to cover the whole of Trysil in three phases; phase 1 is to be launched in December 2009 and includes Turistsenter and Trysil Høyfjellssenter.
"Skistar is a key partner for The Cloud as we continue our aggressive roll out of high capacity wireless broadband services in Norway," said Roald Sandén Country Manager at The Cloud Nordic. "We have also just announced plans to deploy wireless broadband services in Norway's 10 largest cities. The agreement with Skistar is a key milestone in the execution of these plans."
