As you wander through this space, you’ll observe innovations and concepts that derive from thinking old and new and the interplay between our peoples’ cultures north and south.
Produced in the friendliest way possible, these objects promote cleaner, healthier lifestyles for people and our beautiful planet. These are the solutions that will make everyday life simpler and more pleasant.
The sustainable design pieces featured in this Showcase have been created by young design ambassadors from across South Africa and Sweden.
The South African Fresh Talent’s work clearly depicts a vibrant and resourceful approach to creativity. The Fresh Talent designs are final entry prototypes to the Eco Design Competition 2010.
From Sweden, the Eco Design Ambassador products exhibit sustainability with style.
This talented group of young designers for sustainability are collaborating in the Eco Design Initiative to share ideas, cultures, skills and their passionate belief that it is possible to rework the world into the clean, fair home we envisage as our sustainable future.

The Eco Design Initiative is a South African non profit organization with the main objective to develop opportunities for youth entrepreneurship in the field of sustainable design. Through facilitating skills and culture sharing amongst global youth, the Initiative aims to raise awareness and understanding about sustainable design as a precursor to environmental, social and economic wellbeing.
