Thomas Concrete Group supplies concrete for major highway project in Poland
Thomas Concrete Group’s Polish subsidiary, Thomas Beton, has develop and begun deliveries of concrete for a large-scale highway project in northwestern Poland. The project involves the construction of a new section of the national road DK 13, aimed at improving traffic flow between Szczecin and the Polish–German border.
In total, approximately 33,000 cubic meters of concrete will be delivered for the 5.6-kilometer stretch of road during the project’s period, 2025–2028. The high-performance concrete has been developed to meet the stringent technical requirements of modern infrastructure projects, including durability, environmental performance, and long service life.
The project continues previous road developments in the area and represents an important part of the ongoing improvement of the region’s transport infrastructure. The new bypass will reduce through traffic, improve access to logistic hubs, and contribute to safer and more efficient transport in the border area between Poland and Germany.
Thomas Beton is supplying the concrete to Budimex SA, one of Poland’s leading contractor for infrastructure construction.
“We are proud to contribute to another significant infrastructure project in Poland. The deliveries to DK 13 demand high quality and strength from our concrete, as well as good service and reliable logistics,” says Mariusz Górnicki, Regional director.
Thomas Concrete Group has extensive experience supplying concrete solutions to major infrastructure projects across Europe and the United States, with operations in Poland managed through its subsidiary, Thomas Beton.
