Innovative Swedish start-up enters South Korean market

Swedish start-up company, Tic Sweden, is taking another step towards global expansion by entering the South Korean market with its innovative product, known as tic®.

tic® is a global innovation that replaces the needle and thread. It is designed, developed, and produced by the Tic Sweden company (Tic Sverige AB) in Gothenburg.

Since it's successful international launch at Milan Design Week 2013 the Tic Sweden company’s ground breaking product has become available through selected distribution partners around the world.

South Korea represents the 10th country where Tic Sweden has selected an official representative to market and distribute their innovative product. Capital strong Cico Korea Co Ltd is the company Tic Sweden has granted the exclusive rights to market and distribute it's product and brand in South Korea.

International trade manager for Cico Korea Ltd, Mr Lee Hyung: 
–  It is such an honor to start work with Tic Sweden Company and we are very glad to introduce TIC, such an innovative product, into the Korean market. I am sure Korean people will love this new product and TIC will save them from the awkward situations.

– After our success with TIC in Japan we decided in September last year to focus on establishing the brand in a strong neighbouring market, South Korea. We aim to form a solid customer base there, and have chosen Cico Korea Ltd as head distributor because they will secure nationwide interest in TIC, and distribute it well, says Andrew Arbuthnott, Marketing and distribution manager at the Tic Sweden company.

tic® is available at selected design stores, museum shops, menswear stores, clothing boutiques, and department stores. It is also an in-room amenity product offered at high-end hotels, such as the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm.

– It's good to now have TIC in two great Asian markets. Our new South Korean partner are good, powerful, and easy to communicate with, says Karolina Räntfors, founder of the Tic Sweden company.
