President’s Statement
“The Ticket Group is reporting the best half-year result in Ticket’s history. Both leisure travel and business travel are continuing to develop positively; in the first half, sales increased by 44% and profit after tax by 25%.
In the second quarter we enjoyed strong growth in business travel, which is up 26% on last year. In June a new President of MZ Travel (Ticket Business) took up his post and costs associated with this managerial change reduced profits by SEK 2.6 million in the second quarter. Profits continue to develop well in Norway.
The travel industry is benefiting from the positive economy, with Ticket well placed to benefit from current market conditions that include a strong business climate, increased globalization and greater disposable incomes. Ticket will further strengthen its position and our future growth will be achieved both organically and through acquisitions,” says Lennart Käll, President and CEO of Ticket Travel Group.
