The Founding of the World Bank of Trust (TilliT)

Background

The Nobel Price of Economics was awarded for the first time ever to a woman, Eleanor Ostrom. Her message was "the cure for the economic system is trust".

Bert Ola Bergstrand, working on his doctor thesis in Gothenburg University has been studying trust and social capital for over 3 years now.

Bert Ola contacted Mikael Engström because Mikael was already doing with his newspaper TilliT (Trust) what the scientists were only talking about.

Mikael Engström, the founder and responsible editor of the TilliT (Trust) newspaper, attended to the 2009 Swedish Conference on Urban Policies and Social Capital -seminar in Linköping on 23rd - 26th of September where top researchers and specialists from around the world displayed research statistics about trust being the key issue in social capital. After this Mikael stole the show.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon stated that we need another top meeting before the COP15 meeting. "We feel that the World Bank of Trust founding is this meeting." says Mikael Engtröm.

The World Bank Of Trust has a support system called the Social Trust Intelligence Awareness System - STIAS. The STIAS system is built to put in a sixth helix in the social capital system currently used. The current system includes States, businesses, university / academic world. Now scientists are integrating a fourth dimension - the non profitable idealistic foundations. Mikael and Bert Ola have however taken things two steps further and included trustworthy media and awareness into it as well. Their model is unique and groundbreaking and makes it possible to use in a wider perspective.

WBOT - World Bank of Trust (TilliT)

1) One of the fundamental problems in society today is the lack of trust between different actors leading to stagnation. Increased confidence leads to the dynamic development on all levels. In particular, it is the "big issues" such as environment, poverty, etc. WBOT contributes to meet with confidence (trust) in creative processes where necessary.

2) WBOT is an extremely flexible and fast moving "bank" to adapt and show up wherever there is demand for solving problems in which the trust (confidence) is a scarce commodity.

3) The persons who are on the "21 point" list when WBOT is founded are selected as good representatives of a sustainable community building. It is not necessary to say yes to be in, because all founders are nominated. What is expected is that the participant is herself/himself. That is why the nominee is on the list.

4) WBOT was initiated by the newspaper Trust (TilliT) and the informal Dynamic social capital network. WBOT is based on the scientifically proven fact that there is nothing that is independent of anything else. On the contrary, all are depended on each other in the community and should participate and do their best to spread the good news and deeds in the community.

5) WBOT operates under an "Open Code for Trust and Responsibility". This means that all participate voluntarily in WBOT, no membership is requested and all can leave WBOT when they wish. When one takes responsibility, she/he is automatically included in WBOT. WBOT manifests through trustworthy media and technological means to facilitate the spread of good news and deeds. WBOT is creating a trend that is fun to take responsibility. The vision for WBOT is that everyone takes responsibility now.

The World Bank of TRUST is simply action, honesty, responsibility and a marvelous excellence in Building a Sustainable Society
