New Eco-friendly Internet music service launched
The eco-friendly Internet Portal “Treehoo.com” now ads a free music service to its previous offers. The Portal which has been first with an eco-friendly search engine and e-mail addresses now gives its users the possibility to listen to free, legal music streaming. The users can also chose to buy CDs or MP3-files and thereby contribute to plant trees in developing countries.
“Our philosophy is to use a part of the huge profits Internet yields each year on advertising and retail sales to plant trees that sequester the surplus of carbon there is in the atmosphere, that causes global Warming”, says Pedro Bentancour Garin, founder and CEO of the company.
The company hopes to grab a bit of the new music streaming sector and canalize the broad interest there is for music to be a support for the environment. This will be accomplished by letting users buy CDs etc. and as before use half the profit to plant new trees.
Pedro Bentancour Garin adds: “We’re happy to offer this service in co-work with Dizzler.com, to listen to music and support the environment is an unbeatable combination. We hope that Internet surfers all over the world like our new service and we promise to improve it as much as we can in the near future”.
Treehoo plants it’s trees in South America and Africa together with the American N.G.O. “Trees for the Future”. Recently the company was chosen as official partner to the European Commission’s “Sustainable Energy Program” and by the 28 of August Treehoo will compete as finalist at Globe Forum’s international sustainable innovation competition in Stockholm.
