Norwegian Pop Sensation Brings Music to Gaming with Innovative Fortnite Island
The Scandinavian pop stars Marcus & Martinus are now stepping into the gaming world with an exclusive Fortnite experience. In collaboration with Lifeforce Game Science, the twins are launching a unique virtual world where fans can experience their upcoming single "The Room" before its official release, while competing in an exciting Battle Royale format.
The custom Fortnite Island features a stunning recreation of the Norwegian fjords alongside a futuristic cityscape, with "The Room" serving as a safe zone where players can listen to the unreleased track and interact with Marcus & Martinus avatars in the game. This marks the first-ever Fortnite experience created exclusively for Marcus & Martinus, blending music and gaming in an innovative way that allows fans to experience their upcoming single "The Room" before its official release.
The experience launches as a "No Build Battle Royale" format where the last fan standing wins, while featuring hidden secrets and Easter eggs throughout the island for dedicated fans to discover. Players can look forward to future updates including musical drops, social events, and new game modes, along with unique opportunities to interact with Marcus & Martinus in this virtual world.
"We've been playing 'The Room' live all summer and the response has been incredible. That's why it feels extra exciting that it's finally being released to the world properly," said Marcus & Martinus. "The song has a darker energy than our recent releases, but at the same time feels very much like us. We hope our fans will love it as much as we do and sing along to it throughout the fall."
The single "The Room" is written by a successful international team of songwriters - FERRAS (Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, The Chainsmokers, Luis Fonsi), Nate Cyphert (BTS, Steve Aoki, Måneskin, David Guetta, JoJo Siwa, DNCE, Marshmello, Ava Max), JARO (ClockClock, Glockenbach) and Michael Fatkin (Lukas Graham, Jonas Blue, R3HAB, Alan Walker). Michael Fatkin is also the producer behind the song. "The Room" will be officially released on September 26th.
This collaboration with Lifeforce Game Science represents just the beginning of the Fortnite x Marcus and Martinus adventures, with plans for the virtual experience to evolve over time.
