Varg wins “ Apparel Scandinavian Outdoor Award” at ISPO 2017 in München.

A total of 22 strong and innovative products from Scandinavian Outdoor Group brand, were nominated to compete for this year award. Varg participated with their new unique light-weight down tube, Sarek Long Down Hood and where recognized by the international jury.

After Two and a half days of hard outdoor testing and lively discussions, the international jury of nineoutdoor journalist, bloggers and retailers came up with the winners.

Motivation from Jury

Since 2006, the competition for the Scandinavian Outdoor Award (SOA) has aimed to support product and design innovation. Today, the award enjoys a high recognition within the industry and media thanks to a very thorough evaluation process. The jury composed of prestigious outdoor and industry journalists and retailers, bases its final judgement on the following criterions: Design, Innovation, Functionality, Quality and Sustainability.

Primary innovation features

Light weight down tube. This unique garment with top quality fabric will keep the complete body warm. It is easy to wear and is function and useful. The garment opens up with a 2-way full length zipper at each side. Small nice details enhances the overall impression of this product.

Intended Specific end use

Outdoor low activity, or after high intense activity to prevent cooling. Perfect for long days outdoors, for example when coaching kids in their sports/activities. Put it on before entering a frozen cold car, or after a winter sauna. Sarek Long Down Hood will keep your whole body warm.

Materials and Specific features

Fabric is high quality recycled light weight polyester with rib stop. Filling is 90/10 certificated duck down (RDS). Wrap around collar and down hood. 2 way full length YKK zippers at each side. Reflective prints at arms and nice small exclusive details.
