White & Case Elects 28 New Partners
Global law firm White & Case LLP today announced the promotions of 28
lawyers worldwide to its partnership. The promotions are effective January 1,
2013 and span eight of the Firm's Global Practices, with a focus on Mergers
& Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Disputes.
"Our new partners strengthen our global practices and our ability to serve our
clients around the world," said White & Case chairman Hugh Verrier. "With
their energy and enthusiasm, we are building for the future."
Listed by the regions in which they are based, the new partners are:
Americas
- Raj Gandesha is based in New York and has been named a
partner in our Global Intellectual Property Practice. He is qualified in New
York and advises on a wide variety of intellectual property and commercial
litigation matters, including complex patent, trade secret, copyright and
antitrust litigations. - Marius Griskonis is based in New York and has been named a
partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. He is qualified in New York and
Lithuania and focuses on international and domestic corporate and financing
transactions, with an emphasis on project and asset-based financing. - Manuel Groenewold Ortíz-Mena is based in Mexico City and
has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice. He is qualified
in Mexico and advises on corporate matters including securities, banking, public
debt, privatizations, mergers and acquisitions and asset sale procedures. - Richard S. Kebrdle is based in Miami and has been named a
partner in our Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. He is
qualified in Florida and represents distressed investors and funds in domestic
and cross-border cases. - Hansel T. Pham is based in Washington, DC and has been
named a partner in our Global International Arbitration Practice. He is
qualified in Washington, DC and New York and has substantial experience
representing clients in investor-state disputes in domestic and international
arbitrations. - Justin Wagstaff is based in New York and has been named a
partner in our Global Banking Practice. He is qualified in New York and
specializes in the negotiation and documentation of acquisition and leveraged
financings and debtor-in-possession and exit
financings.
Europe, Middle East and Africa
- Charles-Henri Arminjon is based in Riyadh and has been
named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He is
qualified in France and concentrates on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions,
joint ventures and general commercial law. - Charles Balmain is based in London and has been made a
partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. He is an English-qualified
solicitor and a solicitor advocate whose practice covers a broad range of
commercial matters on behalf of corporate clients and financial institutions,
including competition disputes. - Sebastian Buss is based in Istanbul and has been named a
partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. He is an English-qualified
lawyer who focuses on international finance transactions with a particular focus
on asset and project finance. - Antoine Cousin is based in Riyadh and has been named a
partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. He is qualified in New York and
France and focuses on energy and infrastructure projects, public-private
partnerships, construction, competitive tenders and joint ventures. - Stefan Feuerriegel is based in Hamburg and has been named a
partner in our real estate practice. He is a German-qualified lawyer with
experience in commercial real estate, complex leasing and large scale
developments. - Guniz Gokce is based in Istanbul and has been named a
partner in our Global Banking Practice. She is qualified in Turkey and New York
and acts for arrangers, lenders and financial institutions on cross-border
financings and securitizations, syndications, and structured financings. - Alexandre Jaurett is based in Paris and has been named a
partner in our employment practice. He is qualified in France and specializes in
all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law with particular
expertise in restructurings, and the employment aspects of mergers and
acquisitions. - Markus Langen is based in Frankfurt and has been named a
partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. He is qualified in Germany
and focuses on financial liability litigation, particularly in relation to
compliance and risk issues. - Jonathan Langley is based in Moscow and has been named a
partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He is qualified in
England and Wales, and advises on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and
general corporate matters. - Darina Lozovsky is based in Moscow and has been named a
partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice. She is qualified in New York and
represents underwriters, issuers and placement agents in Rule 144A/Regulation S
debt and equity offerings. - David Manson is based in London and has been named a
partner in our Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. He is
English qualified and advises on all aspects of national and cross-border
restructurings, specializing in the technical aspects of administrations and
schemes of arrangement. - Nathalie Nègre-Eveillard is based in Paris and has been
named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. She is
qualified in France and advises both domestic and international clients and
investors on mergers and acquisitions, LBOs, corporate restructurings and
general corporate matters. - Laura Prater is based in London and has been named a
partner in our Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. She is
qualified in Australia and advises financial institutions, companies and
directors on insolvencies and restructurings. - Matthias Stupp is based in Hamburg and has been named a
partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He is qualified in
Germany and focuses on cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings and
corporate financings. - Jirí Tomola is based in Prague and has been named a partner
in our Global Banking Practice. He is qualified in the Czech Republic and
advises clients on acquisition finance, structured finance and export finance. - Guillaume Vallat is based in Paris and has been named a
partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He is qualified in
France and focuses on assisting French and international companies with
corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and
reorganizations. - Michael Watson has been named a partner in our Global
Project Finance Practice. Currently based in London, he will be relocating to
Abu Dhabi. Michael is qualified in South Africa and England and Wales, and has
significant experience with infrastructure projects and project financings. - Stuart Willey is based in London and has been named a
partner in our bank regulatory practice. He is English qualified and was
formerly Chief Counsel to the UK's Financial Services Authority. Stuart
specializes in financial regulation, focusing on securities firms, banking and
financial market regulation. - Julia Zagonek is based in Moscow and has been made a
partner in our Global International Arbitration Practice. She is English
qualified and focuses on international arbitration, primarily advising on
commercial matters.
Asia
- Jonathan Olier is based in Singapore and has been named a
partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He is qualified in
England and Wales and France, and specializes in cross-border mergers and
acquisitions, private equity buyouts and restructurings. - Nandakumar Ponniya is based in Singapore and has been made
a partner in our Global International Arbitration Practice. He is qualified in
Singapore, England and Wales, and New York, and specializes in international
arbitration with a focus on construction law. - Alexander W. Woody is based in Tokyo and has been named a
partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. He is qualified in Hawaii and
Texas, and is a Registered Foreign Attorney in Japan. He focuses on energy
project development and financing, with particular expertise in the LNG sector.
