Wideco certified according to FM Approved

After nearly a year of hard work in the certification process; Wideco’s A1-unit and the MultiZone leak sensor cable; are now approved according to FM Approved. This certification enables Wideco to fully enter the American market.

Unique IoT-system

The Fm Approved-certification is applicable for the following Wideco products: WiDetect A1 and the Multizone leak sensor cable. The A1, a small unit, can be combined with MultiZone and used with many different applications where the risk of moisture appears. These products can also be connected to Wideco’s IoT platform Wision; for visualization and control of all units in the surveillance-system. If the system detects moisture, an alarm will promptly be sent. Wideco’s unique system also has the ability to measure the degree of moisture in a specific space and can also be connected to many different sensors such as gas sensors to measure CO2 in underground manholes or other spaces.

Major prossibilities on the American market

In the U.S. Wideco has a close collaboration with the American company Rovanco that manufactures prefabricated and insulated pipes systems. The CEO of the company, Chad Godeaux forecasts major possibilities on the American market thanks to Wideco’s FM Approved-certification. "Rovanco has been saying for years that the Wideco products we utilize are the highest of quality, technical integrity and performance. Now we have validity," he says. "The FM approval will now enable us to enter markets we have been unable to get into. This approval is respected and recognized worldwide. We hope to grow our business and market share.” Says Chad Godeaux.
