Barcelona ranked #9 out of the 20 best cities in the world

Barcelona is the 9th city out of the 25 best cities in the world ranked by Condé Nast Traveler readers in 2018.

This Readers' Choice Awards survey was pulled together based on fan's interest and inspiration from the big and small cities of the world.

Among the top 10 cities listed, Barcelona is ranked #9 by readers. Acclaimed for its diverse landscapes from mountains to the beach, the historic to the contemporary, sunny Barcelona is a win for all.

Readers love its cultural history and quirky architecture that dot the city and also pointed out its expanding list of restaurants that tease and tempt visitors. Some recommended restaurants are Engima restaurant started by Albert Adrià, Ferran Adrià's brother for an unforgettable, playful gastronomical affair or a classic restaurant where artists and thought leaders used to gather, 4 Gats, which serves affordable, authentic Catalan food.

In addition to the regional capital of Catalonia, Barcelona - readers are encouraged to visit other cities like Girona, Tarragona and Val d'Aran which are well connected to the city centre by high-speed train.
