CLARKE QUAY PRESENTS OKTOBERFEST 2013
Strap on your lederhosen* and dust off your stein as Clarke Quay organizes its 4th annual Oktoberfest Celebration! Every year underneath the colourful canopy and German flag liners, hundreds of people drink beer, eat bratwurst, and dance the chicken dance throughout the night at Clarke Quay. Celebrating in the true tradition of Munich's famed festival, join us on 11th and 12th October at the Central Fountain Square for a weekend of fun, food, endless flow of Erdinger beer and merry making for everyone!
Indulge in German culinary delights at the many German-themed Food & Erdinger Beer Kiosks specially brought to you by participating Clarke Quay outlets offering an endless list of mouth-watering delicacies such as Crispy Pork Knuckles, Bratwust and Mash, Beer Pretzel, German Gourmet Sausages, Roast Beef, Crispy Pork Belly (Schweinbraten), Bavarian Meatloaf and more! Thereafter, quench your thirst and toast to the festivities with endless flow of refreshing Erdinger beers.
Tune in as we kick off the festival with the lively sounds of German “Oom-pah” with Summer Oompah (11th October) and Swiss Alpine Lions (12th October) accompanied by dancing waitresses dressed in ‘Dirndl’* (traditional Bavarian costumes). Hosted by entertainment artiste Max Loong, party to live performances by local band Raw Energy with their powerful rendition of rock and roll mixed with Top 40s. Capture the festivities with free instant photo shots with our lovely Deandl (girl) in their finest Bavarian livery, get creative with our balloon sculptor or participate in adrenaline pumping stage games to win fabulous prizes. If this is not enough, patrons can also challenge themselves at our carnival game booths such as Hoop A Beer, Slide A Beer and more to win Clarke Quay F&B vouchers and Erdinger premiums. In addition with a minimum spend of $50 at any Clarke Quay outlets during the 2 days, you can decorate and bring home your very own Oktoberfest festive cookie (Lebkuchenherz*).
The celebrations do not end as there are Oktoberfest F&B promotions for the whole month of October at various outlets. From Crispy Pork Knuckles at Beer Market and The Pumproom, to bratwurst special at Hot Stones and sumptuous suckling pig at Octapas, there are plenty of reasons to drink to.
