Congratulations to Ben Tee and Rikky Muller - Global TR35 listees

Benjamin Tee and Rikky Muller, regional finalists honored on the TR35 - Innovators Under 35 Asia list for 2015 have attained global recognition by being listed as two of MIT Technology Review magazine’s 35 Innovators Under 35 for 2015. The list will be published in the September/October edition of the magazine.

Ben is a young technoprenuer with a doctorate in Electrical Engineering which he gained at Stanford University in 2013. His research centers on wearable, flexible sensors, circuits and electronics.

Rikky founded Cortera Neurotechnologies based on her Ph.D. research in neurological implant microsystems. She is now leading the development of next-generation implant systems for treating neurological disorders and is a principal investigator in the first major project of the Obama BRAIN Initiative.

For Peh Ruey Feng, who also made it to the TR35 Asia 2015 list, being recognized drove an unexpected level of interest from investors. Ruey Feng says, “Receiving recognition from MIT Technology Review is inspiring, as it’s important for those of us developing new tech in the trenches of Asia to know that innovations coming out of Asia do get noticed. It also gives investors renewed confidence in the innovation that is taking place in this part of the world, which, in reality is a vibrant scene of innovation. I encourage those who know of people doing good work in this neck of the woods to nominate them because we need to hear more Asian success stories to inspire us."

Ensure young innovators in Asia-Pacific are recognized for their groundbreaking work. Nominations close on 18 September 2015.
