Press release -

Futurebooks is set to teach the accounting world a new trick.

Futurebooks is the first accounting firm of its kind in Singapore to offer a high level of accountability and service to small business. The firm plans to publish a host of information on their website, such as new kinds of revenue models and tips on how entrepreneurs can save time on administrative functions.

“Bookkeeping needs to become holistic and accountable. It needs to tie closer to the client’s ambitions. By handling a client’s monthly books, we can also assist them in planning and forecasting, and eventually market their firm to a buyer. Bookkeeping is just the first step,” says Anthony Coundouris, Marketing Director of Futurebooks.

Futurebooks plan to focus on the growing services sector in Singapore and Hong Kong. In 2010, 30,000 companies were started in Singapore - 47% of these companies were from the services sector.

“Media, creative and internet startups are the hot at the moment. These businesses are innovators and prefer partners who understand their business models,” says Anthony.

Intuit, the makers of QuickBooks, have located their APAC head office in Singapore and launched a local version of QuickBooks Online in March this year. Using Intuit’s software, Futurebooks plan to pilot QuickBooks Online to further bolster services to their own clients.
